Voith has been awarded a services contract for the extensive modernization of three hydropower generators at the Kettle Generating Station in the province of Manitoba in Canada.

The order has a value of approximately 30 million euros.

For the second time, Voith has been awarded a contract for a hydropower project in Africa: the company will modernize Inga I hydropower station in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project on the River Congo, led by Voith in a consortium with the Spanish Elecnor SA, has a total order volume of approximately EUR 58 million and will be financed by the World Bank situated in Washington D. C., USA.

Voith has been commissioned with the equipment of a new hydropower plant in Angola in Africa. For the hydropower plant Cambambe II at the River Kwanza, the company will supply and install four generators and turbines as well as the control and associated systems. The order volume amounts to more than €100 Million.

KSB has supplied numerous pumps and valves for Germany’s first 100% straw-fired biomass power plant. The plant located in Emlichheim has been designed to supply a nearby company with process heat using straw as an energy source.

Voith has received an order for the refurbishment of a hydropower plant on the Rhine. The company will modernize several turbines in the Rheinkraftwerk Albbruck-Dogern at the German-Swiss border and supply three vertical Kaplan runners for the project.
